greetings firstly excuse my ignorance on such matters but being published getting published whatever the correct terminology is, how would one know if that this is in their realm of ability and is worth pursuing and how would someone go about it if they are deemed "good enough".
just thought i would ask you guys as you show the talent and no doubt have the knowledge i crave.
thanks in advance for any replies
(it is a bit of a goal i wish to fulfil to get something "out there" so to speak)

Well, I just got my first book of poetry published in late 2007 called, "Psychological Melody of Words". I went with a traditional publisher. I didn't pay one penny to have my book published. You will need to have your work in some sort of word document in a format easy to read. Then look online for different publishing companies that will take submissions. My publisher is PublishAmerica. I just got my children's book published through them. I wrote and illustrated it, it is called "Lost Stripes, Please Return". So, you have to be willing to adventure out there!! The question is, do you want to go the traditional way and try to get it published without paying a penny, or go somewhere like LuLu, where you can pay to have your book published and then sell and market it yourself. It is up to you.

thanks so i take it by leaving "it" entirely upto someone else to promote publish etc then the returns if any are reduced by comparison to the returns if you handled the promoting etc yourself (dependant on how successful you are/were obviously?) im going to have a rummage round the web and see whats what then thanks B
