I read a lot of the poetry posted on this site. I thought it was really great! I'll be posting my poetry also, hoping to get the same response as everyone else. Just if you read a poem I post that you think stinks, let me know. I can take it.

I just joined too. I read some stuff and posted a couple things. I don't like that it doesn't show artistic spacing...it just smooshed everything together

I too have just joined. I write in many genre, including spiritual, but I found the site when I googled "erotic poetry"....now I read that that is not permitted here. Does anyone have any comments?

Synchro Welcome to Poetry Junction As for your comment on Erotic Poetry There is nothing to say you can't...the only Rule is #4 NO XXX Please, no pornographic material, nor pointers to it. There is a great difference between Erotic Poetry and pornographic material Another rule is Post in Good Taste...this is also possible with Erotic Poetry Recently I have placed a poll on the general board asking the types of poetry boards poets would like to see...Erotic was one suggestion that with be happening in Feb. Sooooo...Stay tuned...it's coming

I'm new here too but I've seen a couple of very erotic poems done in extremely good taste. They are in the Poems for Critique section.
I've seen some really nice stuff here and it is not specific to one type of taste or another. There is a ton of variation which is great. I've seen too many sites that are one dimensional for one reason or another - and I found them to be very boring indeed.

Trina, I agree that there is a difference, but the line dividing the two is fine indeed, and unless you have specific guidelines, ("no XXX" is much too vague) then how does one know whether or not one has crossed the line?

HMMM..Good point...let me bring this up with the other moderators....maybe we can re-write this to be more specific
