I love this but it doesn't fit the 5-7-5 I don't think I'd change this only keep it as a short poem! The write is great!

i actually think prayer is two syllables...one rule for syllables is to count the vowels, subtract any silent vowels and one vowle from dipthongs, and however many are left are the number of syllables. there are no silent vowels or dipthongs, so therefore there should be two syllables in prayer...
maybe change it to something like this...
his church in your soul your prayer formed on his lips two hands, one breath, join
