I'm starting a game of Seven Grand Steps - with rules that I implemented myself.
I've been playing Seven Grand Steps, Part 1 for quite some time, and I realised that with a bit of tweaking, it can be quite an interesting experience especially in a forum board. But in order to make it worthwhile, I need at least 2 players, and I can only be a referee. Who wants to join me?

Well, it's like this: In Seven Grand Steps, you are the head of a bunch of Copper Age peasants, and must raise a family that can survive three different ages - the Copper Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. In theory the game has no end but you can set objectives, and the current build of the game allows your family to end the game, either as a knight, peasant, reeve or miller. For our game on PoetryJunction, there will be a strong PvP element. You will be tasked with heading one of 3 different clans of Copper Age artisans, and you will have to decide on what goals the family will have - will they remain the middle class forever (with a risk of being killed by famine or bloodshed)...victory is determined by two things: how your family progressed in the post-Iron Age world, or their last rank prior to being exterminated. If all adults are exterminated and there are no children remaining, you will resume play from surviving siblings of the adults. Each generation consists of a post-long story that will be posted somewhere else in the forum. You will decide as the clan leader what goals the clan is to follow, and you will also determine details of the character, from how that character responds in society (introvert or extrovert? conformist or revisionist?) all the way down to sexuality (whether to favour marriage or become a single parent) and even the number of children. You can also determine a character's individual desires too - whether to amass massive amounts of tokens, have lots of kids, or concentrate on collecting beads to fulfill the clan goals. Anyway, our story begins as follows: Here, I need your answers

Look, at this point in my life I can't commit to something like this. First of all it seems like it would take massive amounts of time, which I can't give, and rather than let you down I'm gonna make this as easy as possible. If you're ok with me being involved say once a week maybe less, sure, if not I don't think it will work out for me.

I need time to write up the after-action report for each and every individual. Just remember the following features: Clan name: Clan goals: Individual name: (currently either Maya, Tem or Salatis) Individual goals - Altruist/individualist? - Conformist/Revisionist? - Number of children to be had (min 1, max 7) - Selective/ Fair treatment of children? - Maximise tokens? - Maximise bead gain? - Marriage? no marriage? That's the only input I really need from you guys. Once I get the information from you, then I can play 1 round. The results will then be posted somewhere on the forums - it's a casual game, no need to worry - even I enjoy replaying the game, trying out any and all possibilities to see what will get me where, but only I know which paths to take
