I put some definitions below this poem to help the reader to possibly understand this piece.
Let me know if any meaning comes through.
Thanks George
Freed Chimps of Heaven
"Confusions are but thinking, Truth can be knowingly known,
facing the revolutions-- adopted ideas unknown."
In the confusions of life, searching for something stable,
In the nightmares of fright, solutions of useless fable.
Soothing the many mindless, temporally filling voids,
thought-less, tender-less, kind-less, seldom if ever enjoyed
Survival of the fittist, Darwin's famous enchanting,
Survival of the beleavist, Religion's favorite ranting.
Seeming rightness and justice, pounding its mighty gavel.
Truth be told, it deceives us-- Gordian’s knot to unravel.
Fable’s create what is wrong from mutilated tails,
hiding from introspection, hiding minds-- full of veils.
Fable’s create what is right-- destroying nonbelievers,
exploding their mighty might-- burned books of all deceivers.
Fables they do dominate, the minds that they employ.
Fear of fire, they meditate, domination to destroy.
Damnation-- Evolution, spew forth from the same damn spring.
Time for new constitutions, Freed chimps of heaven we sing…
"Confusions are but thinking, Truth can be knowingly known,
facing the revolutions-- adopted ideas unknown."
George
Confusion: an act causing a disorderly combination of elements with identities lost and distinctions blended. A mental state characterized by a lack of clear and orderly thought and behavior.
The Gordian Knot is a legend associated with Alexander the Great. It is often used as a metaphor for an intractable problem, solved by a bold stroke ("cutting the Gordian knot").
Temporally: of the material world. Of or relating to the temples (the sides of the skull). Of or relating to or limited by time. Of this earth or world.
Constitution: the way in which someone or something is composed
Revolution: a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving.
Fable: a story about mythical or supernatural beings or events. A deliberately false or improbable account
Chimp: short for chimpanzee, of the ape family.
Heaven: where the good people go.
Let me know if any meaning comes through.
Thanks George
