A Child's Question
The Little boy walked into the room, A tear up in his eye, As he cradled in his wee small hands, A tiny bird fallen from the sky.
He had been playing with joys, And loves abound, When the tiny bird fell out the sky, And landed there upon the ground.
He whispered softly to me, That he didn't know just why, With so much joy, and love around, Why does one have to die?
We placed the tiny bird to rest, On that warm September day, I thought of what he asked of me.. ..I couldn't answer him, for I knew not what to say.

Children and their unanswered questions and the questions that seem impossible to answer.
Very touching and sentimental indeed.
