And we sit and sing for all ye folks who never have heard a childs whisper in the reeds
My son sat here tonight and tonight he will lie Because he does not know Hisfriend will surely die
How can he cope What shall I say When he looks up at me And asks when his friend will come back to play
Oh the tears Get used to them my son

Welcome to Poetry Junction Poets Forum GroovewithJamie!
This is a very sad write. A write that no parent would want to have to deal with. The sad thing is when my cousin died in a car accident at the age of 9--my daughter was only 6 and it was very hard to explain to her that Hannah was never coming back to play, swim or anything, she was in Heaven. They just don't get it sometimes.
Thanks for sharing.
Belinda
